Kadoma film festival to host Iran’s ‘The Visit’

Iranian short title ‘The Visit’ has been named as an official selection for the 2020 edition of the Kadoma International Film Festival in Japan.

Directed by Azadeh Mousavi, the film will take part at the festival’s Narrative Foreign Films Category.

“A young girl and her mother are on their way to visiting the father in jail,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The film has previously attended the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France and the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the US.

The Kadoma International Film Festival was launched in 2018 and went international last year.

Its mission is to “encourage interaction among filmmakers regardless of their continents or languages”.

The 3rd edition of the event will take place on August 13-15, 2020.
